Why am I so excited about this, well its an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions. It is used by students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production. It is created to teach fundamentals of computer programming within a visual context and to serve as a software sketchbook and professional production tool. Processing is an alternative to proprietary software tools in the same domain.
So whats it all about, well its a computer programing language to allow objects to be move in relationship to set rules such as speed, direction and its relationship to other objects, a recent presentation on TED looks at starlings with the same technology, want to download this cutting edge technology, then go to Processing.org for a free dowload.
The uses for Architecture are immnece, I can see escape with large crowds being evaluated with this software.
