I, like so many have reals of books, mostly paperback, some in hardback, and some in just paper, I collect comics ! But even I cant remember all the books I have, so I have started to photograph the cover and spine, so I can send it via email to Evernote, for a record, I might even make a note of it as well, but the interesting thing about Evernote is that in the background there is an OCR optical Character recognition software pr organ running to recognise the writing and record them, I think within the photo. The article on Lifehacker is an excellent roundup of this service, look at the bottom of the article there are some excellent feedback comments re other services that also do this, and seem to link into Amazon and the like, ok they are specific to books.

Now my use of Evernote is so high I have paid for their premium service, apart from the almost unlimited uploads, I get preferential treatment on the time the software takes to look at my photo and sort out the writing, others on the free service have to wait.

This also applies to guarantee's I have, service agreements, and so much more, I am finding that I want to find again easily. Why is it I find so much when I'm not looking for it, and can never find it when I do look for it, !!!!.
