I saw yesterday that Jon Pickup has an overview of Vectorworks 2013 next week, so I immediately went onto his new site and signed up, I have missed a lot of his seminars just lately, even attending this seminar is going to be tight, due to the timing and work, I happen to speak to Jon on Skype and he suggested trying out the iPad app for go to meeting, he was sure it now allowed webinars, so we did a trial and it works a treat, it took a second or two for the sound to log in but after that it was as clear as a bell, and no lag.
So Wednesday 10th early in the morning I will be sitting in my garage, waiting for my car to be serviced, watching Jon's presentation on Vectorworks 2013. I hope via a hot link to my iPhone. The photo I show today is a screen capture straight from the iPad, and in case you can't remember how to do it, press the on/off button at the top of the iPad together with the home button and you'll here the familiar camera sound, Jon suggest using the very popular and easy to use, Penultimate to mark up and make notes on the screen capture image, before sending into Evernote. I used the iPad to take the screen grab, opened up penultimate imported the photo, marked it up and then told Penultimate to send it to Evernote, a simple process and one I use far to infrequently.
Not so much CPD for construction, more CPD for the Architectural Technologist, keeping my notes updated using three very easy yo use apps, and free to boot, on the iPad.
