Last year I attended and filmed this lecture set and I can honestly say its one of the best grounding in stone and its use I have ever sat in on. Spread over two days, you are taken trough many aspects of Stone use in building from the in-depth creation of stone in terms of its geological position to the Architects’s point of view, with many industry users, cleaners, master masons. all adding up to the best introduction to stone and its use in construction you are liable to see anywhere. This years course is set for the November 4th & 5th in London, cost is £180 plus VAT, a steal if you ask me. They have an inclusive deal including hotel for £380 plus VAT, phone 01303 856123 , visit the web site or email sandra@stonefed.org.uk
