Towards Zero Energy is the theme for a set of lectures on the 9th July 6:30 pm. PVs are about to force themselves back into the forefront of building related renewables having for many years been the high-profile technology hampered by a long payback. Now advances in technology, falling prices and new approaches to funding along with the government’s new feed-in tariff proposals are promising to make photovoltaics a central issue in sustainable architecture.

After the lectures Arup and Birkhäuser cordially invite you celebrate the publication of Building Integrated Photovoltaics – A Handbook by Simon Roberts and Nicolò Guariento
Published by Birkhäuser, aimed at architects and designers. It addresses PV-technology as one more building cladding option for new buildings and for the renovation of existing buildings.
The event is free to attend and will be followed by a drinks reception.
