If you viewed the latest Video blog, you’ll be aware of the latest block buster from Jon Pickup, of Archoncad it was completed this morning and the email sent out , you have to collect it from Jons site at Archoncad, but believe me when I tell you its over 41 pages long, and well worth the £8 or so I pay every month to keep my Vectorworks program useful.
So whats in the 41 pages, well this month its all about detail, yes the very essence of the technologist, the nitty gritty of construction, taking the overall 3D image of a section and filling it with detail, Jon goes into the fine points of doing this, not so much the construction, but the method of dealing with the components, in your library, and pulling then into place, The text, pictures and movies embedded into the pdf are superb, and go into this subject extremely well. there are a couple of extra items such as the beginners corner, don’t mock, we all have been there, and some 3D text work, which I found very interesting, over all this has got to be at least 1.5 hours of CPD, without even practicing the items shown.
Next month its all about the Vectorworks Library, its use and were stuff is stored, and my way of storing details on separate files, Jon is now frowning, but it works for me, but I know he’s right in telling me to use the library. I await the next issue with interest………………
